Healing Foundations is the only facility of it’s kind in Minnesota. We are able to provide kids with the suppport and resources they need when they are not safe, or too mentally unstable to return home due to to not meeting criteria for hospitalization. We work with all current service providers that children have (even those out of county) to ensure they have resources and support when returning home.
To stay at our facility, the per diem rate is charged to the county of origin. Healing Foundations has a host county contract with Itasca County, and works with various other counties in Minnesota on an as needed basis, for payment agreements when that county has a child in need of a crisis stay. Our per diem rate is $257/day and we are Title 4E certified (this provides reimbursement for the county paying the per diem rate). Our license allows us to have kids for up to 90 days if deemed necessary. An initial stay, is approximately 10 days, to assess, stabilize, and connect them to services and resources they may need in the quickest amount of time possible.
